TALA Mental Health, founded by a diverse team of women of colour, wanted a brand that could break away from the clinical, cold look often seen in mental health practices. Their goal was to create a warm, welcoming, and empowering identity that embodied their mission: destigmatizing therapy, honouring cultural identity, and guiding clients toward meaningful, generational healing.

Blending strategy and symbolism to craft a brand rooted deeply in care and cultural connection
Through deep exploration of TALA’s values — empathy, inclusivity, and legacy — we created a brand system that visually represented their philosophy of whole-person care. Inspired by Tala, the goddess of the stars, we integrated guiding symbols, soft typography, and a versatile coluor palette of nature tones to reflect safety, trust, empowerment, and the light of possibility.
